Tabor - Hermon in Haze
There are two sites considered most likely for the Mount of Transfiguration. The traditional site is here on Mount Tabor where we are standing. Where the haze is thickest Mount Hermon is hiding. This is the other prime candidate. There is not agreement in the church about which site it might be so we were free to take our pick, as with so many of the holy sites we encountered. Once again we are reminded that the place is secondary to the event.
