Triclinium.JPG

Triclinium

Triclinium means "three couches" and is the style of table that was used in the Last Supper and was a major thing in synagogues and the like. This has been arranged as things may have been arranged for the Last Supper. To eat at this table you lie on your side with your feet stretched out behind you and rest on your left elbow and eat with your right hand. You almost lay on the chest of the person to your left as we read about in regard to John and Jesus.
