LaDale's House

While I was at LaDale's house, I took some pictures of her new place. I wanted to post some of them. These are the outside of her house.

Ditto on the happiest birthday!

The big 3-1!!!

Okay, that doesn't sound as cool as the big 3-0. Oh, well.

I love you tons and tons, David. I'll try to give you a call this weekend, too. Hope you had a lovely business trip, even if you had to be away on your birthday.

Happy Birthday

David, I don't know how I can get a hold of you on your birthday. I know you are away from your home. I hope you see this to know that I am thinking of you and wishing you a happy birthday, even if you are from your family due to work. I will try to talk to you on the phone this weekend if I can and if you are home. Love you tons. SKT

Baby brother

Happy birthday my baby brother!

Kip is GREAT

I was helping clean around the house this morning and thus I was still home when Kip got off the bus. Caren got him from the bus and when he came into the house he said what sounded like 'Dad home.' It was so cute. I am so glad he is verbalizing now. SKT

Happy, happy

Happy Anniversary Keryn and Brad. Eight years, huh? I hate to say it... but you guys are OLD!

Music

We are going for simplicity. Mostly hymn arrangements and such. I did look at Sally DeFord's website and will use some of her stuff in the future, but the piano parts a little complicated to pile them on my pianist when she needs to learn a whole bunch of songs for Christmas. We are only going to attempt four songs and will fill in with straight hymns and Children's Songbook songs as necessary.

Samuel, we have a normal sized ward. At least we're not huge anymore. I'm not quite sure why I ended up with so many callings, except I don't think anyone else would accept the organ calling, and you would be amazed by the number of people who have come up to me since I've started Gospel Doctrine and told me they would never have accepted that calling themselves, and I think they were just desperate with the choir and wanted to make sure there were no false starts. Therefore, viola, four callings for me.

RE: Choir

Wow. Jen, that's fantastic. With very little time, I think Samuel is right about simplicity. But that doesn't mean just hymns, though. There is so much free music online--Sally Deford is just one. Here is a post that Bradley wrote a million years ago, and we still get comments on it about new sites. So definitely read the comments.

Love you all,

From the Ross Sick House

Congrats

Jen,

I'm just curious. Are there many people in your ward that do not have callings? I would imagine that there are not many as they feel you should have all these callings. I completely feel that you will and continue to do a fantastic job at each and every one of your callings. I know you will do a great job with your choir. Good luck with the madness that is the Christmas program. It seems that with the limited time of a few months before the Christmas program that maybe simplicity might work just as well as complexity, and be a lot less stressful. Love you tons. SKT

new calling

I got a new calling in church today. In addition to being ward organist, a visiting teaching supervisor and gospel doctrine teacher I am now also the ward choir director. Just in time to scramble madly for Christmas. We haven't had a choir since our last director moved... in June.

this and that

Fall break has been interesting. We've been busy and have kids crawling all over the place. Benjamin, Jacob and Heather have all had multiple friends over near constantly. My house is a disaster area, but I can get to all that on Monday when they all go back to school.

Jeff starts a sort of new job on Monday. It's with the same company, just a different position. No raise or anything, so it's technically a lateral move but he will be able to work from home again. You see, Jeff's company wants to sell it's FHA loans directly to Fannie Mae. In order for that to happen they have to have inhouse quality control. This dovetails nicely as they have been subcontracting it and their subcontractor has just announced his retirement. Jeff was suggested for the QC job and they jumped in offering it to him. Hopefully, this will be longterm good. If the company continues to grow, eventually Jeff would have people under him and he would be in charge of all the quality control people. This does mean he will be working extra hours, but the absence of the commute will mean he will still have more time at home.

Other than that, things are going well. I'll update again later!

Love ya all!

Left Out :-(

Keryn,

I feel left out. Apperently nothing is happening in my life right now that warrents a comment from you. I feel sad. Caren is doing well with the kids out of school. I know she will enjoy the alone time next week when school starts back up again. But again, apperently that has nothing to do with me.

Just so you know, I am busy with SESE (pronounced see-see, or C-C, or sea-sea, whatever), my stripper friend, according to Caren. (Actually it stands for the School of Earth and Space Exploration. It is the hybrid college for the astronomy and geology departments.)

I am finding it hard to type at night. I have never quite gotten used to typing without looking at the keyboard. That is another thing that I guess I should learn but I can't see myself learning in the forseeable future.

Love you all. SKT

More teeth

Heber has popped out three teeth in less than a week. No wonder he's been a little grumpy Gus lately.

How is your new job, David? We are so excited for you.

How is autumn break treating you, Jenafer and Caren? Are you making it through?

LaDale, when do you move? When do we get pictures?

Telima and I are going to go up to the mountains tomorrow and take pictures of the kids playing in the leaves. We'll make sure to post them soon.

Love you all!

Gift tip

Hey, everybody, just a Christmas tip from one of my favorite deal-bloggers, Mir at Want Not:
[T]hey’re just re-releasing Snow White this week, and it’s been remastered and remixed and refantastic-ed, and now you can get the 2-disc Blu-ray/DVD combo set at Amazon for just $10! It’s listed at $19.99 and coupon code snowhite will take off another $10. The best part? You only need another $5.01 worth of stuff to get free Super Saver Shipping, because that works off of your pre-coupon total.

Heh. When I ordered it, I also got a free $5 gift credit for selected TV shows on Video on Demand. Guess I'll have to go check that out now.

Anyway, don't forget: Christmas is Coming!

Amazing!

For the first time, the video of the Priesthood Session is available for everyone and anyone to watch. (Before, you could eventually watch the ASL version of it.) But now it is right there with the other sessions--already posted, they don't waste time.

I'm so pumped it is not even funny. Yay yay yay!!

Ironic

And who would have thought? It figures!

Or like the good advice that you just didn't take...

Like the free ride when you've already paid.

Jenafer's pet

Sorry, Jen, but the website where I found the pictures says:
The regular series of dolls were first released in 1980. The first edition dolls included Strawberry Shortcake, Blueberry Muffin, Huckleberry Pie, Apple Dumplin', Apricot, and foe Purple Pieman. These first edition dolls had flat hands and did not come with pets except Apple Dumplin', Apricot, and the Purple Pieman.
So there you go. The picture of Strawberry Shortcake is from the second series of dolls, and that's why she has a pet. I, on the other hand, have always had a pet.

Heh heh. Considering that out of the three older girls, you are the only one with a pet in real life, this is just funny. Or maybe ironic. Like rain on your wedding day.

Hey!

Hey! Where's my pet? I don't remember exactly what kind Blueberry had, but she had one!

Happy Birthday to My oldest SON

I wanted to wish Adam a great Birthday in this most public place for my entire family to see. Due to my schedule, we gave Adam his presents last night so that he could play with them today. I will not be home until close to midnight. So, Happy 6th Birthday, Adam. -Dad
