anagrams

Well, I finally did my anagram. My choices were not many, but my personal favorite was "enjoyable fretorr" I guess that would be me!

What a looker!

That is a great picture, LaDale. It's exactly perfect for what I want. Now, if the rest of the ladies will oblige...

Hey, LaDale, I just read "Gossamer" by Lois Lowry. Have you read it? I thought it was pretty good.

How many of you remember Mema telling the story of the Coalville Tabernacle? It's an interesting story to say the least. I recently came across some old Dialogue (an Mormon magazine) articles about it, and thought I'd share. Mema, if you get a chance, you should definitely read them and then come tell us your thoughts.

And I have to share a funny story (sorry, Telima!). At Katy's birthday party on Tuesday, I asked Telima if she had figured out an anagram of her name yet. She mentioned she hadn't found a good one yet. This puzzled me a bit, but then her mother-in-law asked for an explanation. I started to talk about how you go to this website, and then put your name in...and Telima burst out laughing. She hadn't realized that it was a WEBSITE and had been trying to do it by hand, just looking at the letters. Ack. I couldn't do that! Anyway, it was really funny.

I love you all! We're going camping tomorrow night--ward campout up Hobble Creek Canyon--and it should be really really fun. And then next week--Tuesday through Saturday, whoa!--we will be camping up Cedar Canyon for the Ross Family Reunion. So I'm sure we will be thoroughly broken in camping-wise by next weekend. Wish us luck!

Finally a picture

Well, for better or for worse, here it is. I finally got one right.

Or at least decent.

Can't help it

As crazy as the reunion was- I can't help but miss you all so much. I've clicked to cute Katy's pictures about 15 times today just to see her smile and wish I could be hugging her. Now when I hit that link, the computer bypasses the user name and password and takes me straight to her darling face.

I just can't help myself!!

Katy Pictures

I LOVE that hat!!! The only problem is you can't see that beautiful red hair of hers.

Pictures of Katy on her first birthday!

So, Grandma Smith is here visiting, and she wanted a first birthday picture of Katy. They turned out soooo cute. If you'd like to see them, go to Kiddie Kandids and put in "telima_smith" as the login, with "kathryn" as the password. I honestly don't care who knows the password...it's just some pictures of Katy, nothing critical. =) Anyway, they are adorable and I'll be sending all you a wallet-sized one of her in the white wicker chair with the garden backdrop. I love you all and hope you're having a great day!

Adorable Tell.

It makes me think of a Shirley Temple looking girl who tattles all the time. Someone stupid adults love and smart kids detest.

Sky Snorer

Okay, my pretties. What anagrams lie hidden in your name? Be sure to tell us!

By the way--Ezra Owen Ross: Now raze sores
Mercy Eva Ross: Very scream so. (Or, really, "So Very Scream" is very appropriate) (and if you just use Mercy Ross it becomes: Cry or Mess. Appropriate, too!)

But Gideon's takes the cake: Gideon Michael Ross: I am scolding heroes. Awesome!

Samuel--a very merry unbirthday, to you, to you.

LaDale--I feel you pain. Don't worry about rushing it, I'm sending the book on without it. When I get it back I'll do up the picture. But you all have to send me a headshot SOONER rather than later, okay-oh?

Telima--My kiddos keep asking for "Grandma Trees". They really like hanging out with her at the pool. Thanks!

Jenafer--How's Lillian? Anyone else sick?

David--Any of your kids sick?

Mema--how was camp?

a plethora of picture problems

I have taken about fifteen pictures of myself to post for the circle journal and every single one of them was- well- take your pick: sad, ugly, funny-looking, angled so that my nose looked three times as large as my chin, etc, etc. Sigh.

I will be asking someone to take that picture for me tomorrow and then, hopefully, it will look enough like me to stand public scrutiny.

Love you all. Hope you all had a happy Sunday.

P.S. Samuel, thanks for the very merry unbirthday greeting. It made my day!!

Happy unbirthday

I just wanted to wish everyone in the family a very merry unbirthday. Until next time. Same Tobler website, same Tobler humor. SKT

Confidential to the Ladies

I need a head shot of all of you. Find a recent picture of you that you like--make sure it shows your face, not the back of your head--and post it to the family website. If you could do it in the next week or so I'd appreciate it! (P.S. If you do it faster then I'll get the book out faster! We forgot to take a picture of us all together!)

Vacation Redux

So how are all your kids feeling?

Hopefully nobody got sick because of Ezra's illness. I've never seen an illness like that before--he threw up multiple times on Saturday morning, slept a while, and then was hunky-dory the rest of the time. Until we got home.

The scene: Brad is unloading the car. I'm putting things away. Ezra is lying on the floor in the living room, just hanging out. I suggest that we need to change diapers and go to bed, seeing as it is 9:30pm. Ezra wants Daddy to change him--I certainly don't object. I head downstairs while Bradley starts to change Ezra's diaper. Ezra is objecting, saying the fateful words, "I'm not feeling better!" And then he throws up. All over the living room floor.

Although I need to shampoo my living room floor now, I'm grateful he waited until we got home. It's a whole lot easier to clean my living room than my car. Ezra spent yesterday with a high fever and "not feeling good", which is different then "not feeling better". "Better" is his key word for "Get me to a bucket or sink".

His illness is part of the reason why he hated his swimming lessons yesterday (but not all the reason. Ezra is about twenty times for cautious than his sister). And when they were over he didn't want to go back. At all. So we switched things around--Mercy is going to do the first set of swimming lessons, and Ezra will do the ones scheduled for late July. And between now and then we will practice getting the water and having a good time there.

So Mercy is loving her lessons. Whew.

What is your summer shaping up to be like?

Picture of the kids

Since we were all distributing this picture I thought I should post it here as well. I hope you all enjoy.

Thursday, June 14, 2007

Yeah!!

Yeah, Keryn. We are looking forward to seeing you all.

Love you!!

Getting better (and excited!)

Mercy's doing tons better--active sickness (I'm trying to be delicate here) concluded at about 10:30 am Wednesday. She's still not feeling tip-top, but that probably has more to do with her late night (two longish naps will do that to a girl). She came into our room at about 9:30 pm and just hung out, laying down and popping back up again to grin at Mommy and Daddy. It was incredibly adorable but has resulted in a sulky, whiny girlie this morning. Which is why we are putting off our shopping expedition until this afternoon.

Ezra seems great. He is acting normal (and frustrated, because I won't let him play with his friend Ryan because I'm still not 100% sure Ezra isn't sick). Cross your fingers and toes that he doesn't get sick!

Gideon loves his toes. When he can see them, that is.

See you all tomorrow!

Thanks

Thanks everyone for putting up with my confusing question. Thanks for the answers. See you all this weekend.

Re: LaDale's question

LaDale,

Sorry, I've taken so long on this! It probably comes to no surprise that this is the picture that I've chosen: dolphins! However, the reason I like this one is because it's more than just dolphins, it's ocean life and water. I love water! =) Anyway, I hope this downloads, but if it doesn't, a picture of dolphins and ocean life in general will work great for me. Thanks!

LaDale's question

Well, LaDale, I have thought long and hard. I tried to upload an image, but it didn't work. Anyway, I have decided on Mountains, a valley in the mountains to be exact. With a stream running through it, and the mountains rising in the background and pretty flowers in the grass. I hope that helps. Thanks!

Silly question

To all the women in the family:

If you could choose a picture that represented you, what would it be? Something small and simple. I'll let you know what this is about at the reunion- but if you could respond as soon as possible that would be great. Thanks!!

LaDale

Last day of preschool

Adam's last day of preschool was yesterday. His class was combined with the morning class for a lunch/party. All parents and siblings were invited. They had one of those air castle junpy things. They also had 2 pinatas for the kids to hit. (There was no blindfolding the children. Each child got 2-3 hits and then they had to go to the end of the line.) The theme at the party was Hawaiian / Fun in the Sun. Here are a few pictures of Adam and of Adam's class. We love you all. Can't wait to see eveyone in a short couple of weeks. SKT

Re: Calendar

Telima, I took care of the missing birthday. I'm sure we would have but it up at least a week before the actual event. But anyway, there it is. SKT
