My Day

My day went well. Last night I told Benjamin to get everything together for scout camp. He came downstairs with half a duffle bag for a week at camp. That's when I made him show me his packing list and everything in his bag. He didn't pack any socks or pants! No toothpaste or his toothbrush, no dishes, no sunscreen, I nearly tore my hair out! At that point I made him gather everything and pack. We filled his duffle and a backpack. He managed to get everything he needed. I didn't get to bed until after 11. He had to be up at 4:15, he was picked up at 4:30, and off at 4:45. Then, since Jeff gets up at 5:15 anyway, I didn't even try to go back to sleep. Now, I'm tired and snappy at my children, bedtime for all!
I cleaned the familyroom today. Benjamin's been in charge of it since school got out and he just cannot seem to understand that cleaning includes the corners and under the couches. It really needed to be done. And now it is. He'll have a fresh start when he gets back from camp. We'll see if he can keep it up.
