AGH!!!!!!!!!
Church today was an interesting experience. It felt like half our ward was out of town! I had my regular two jobs today, organist and gospel doctrine teacher. In addition, I was asked to play the piano in RS and play for the Young Women while they practiced the special musical number they're preparing for camp. I looked around today and realized that I was the only pianist in the ward who showed up today. The bishop and first councilor were both out of town and the primary pianist just didn't show up. So everyone was scrambling. After I finished my lesson, the second councilor asked me to go and play for Sr. primary, and I told them that I would have to show someone how to work the piano so they could sing, stick my head into young women's to tell them that they would have to practice to a CD, and then I would be in there. The young women decided to stay late and we practiced after church.
I looked over and just called someone I knew over the piano, and low and behold, someone said she could play the piano! Then I got into primary and found that the primary chorister was playing the piano in there. Neither of these two sisters had ever before said that they play! I'm not thrilled. But it's out now, so we'll see what happens next.
Other than that, I was very busy, which is the way I like it. We'll have to see what happens next week. All of the young women will be at camp and all the Bishopric will be gone and it's a three day weekend. At least I don't have to teach.
