Thursday
I am really tired so I'm not going to post much tonight.
Tomorrow is Jacob's "Cultural Day" at school. He had to pick a food that represented our cultural background to bring to school and share with the class. I asked him what he wanted me to make and he said "Tacos"... Next. Then he picked "Spaghetti." Yeah, my poor confused boy obviously has no idea what culture we are. That's ok because this threw me for a loop as well! What exactly was I supposed to make? I talked to Mom and she suggested Scones, because of the pioneer culture and that made sense but I think we all know that scones have to be served fresh or not at all, so they really wouldn't have worked. Finally we just made an apple pie and left it at that! It's waiting for him downstairs at this very moment. He even helped me make it.
Erica and Lillian only have 3 more days of school left. I have a meeting with the preschool on May 21, probably to go over Lillian schedule for next year, but we'll see when it happens.
Benjamin came home from school today with some rather depressing news, his bike was stolen...again! Since it was a $5 yard sale special that he had had for over a year, we're not out much. Also, we had already bought him a new bike that was just waiting for Jeff to put new tires on it, so we don't even have to frantically search for something for him to ride on Monday, but still! His bike was old and run down and I had thought we would be safe from this sort of thing! He hadn't been locking it up because he had lost his key. That won't be happening again! I have to sigh in exasperation.
Tomorrow is our father/son camp out, excuse me, Arronic priesthood commemoration outing. Jeff has made arrangements to take a half day at work so they can actually pitch the tent while it's still light out. But we'll see when he actually gets out of the office. The girls and I always enjoy these little nights on our own. I will probably be watching a Barbie movie in the theater room with popcorn and giggling little girls in cartoon pajamas at this time tomorrow night. But we'll see.
Samuel, congratulations on finally getting your itinerary for Taiwan.
David, congratulations an receiving your associates. Wish we could be there to see you walk. We will promise to try really hard to come to see you walk when you receive your Bachelors!
