My Day

Well, today started as early as yesterday, only after the fifteen minute ride to school I realized I'd forgotten the crock pot I'd promised to bring for Martha and her kids graduation party this Friday. Today was the last day she would be in school this week, so I turned around and went back to get it. Luckily, I tend to get to school before I really HAVE to be there and was in plenty of time for the staff meeting. The school day was normal, some fun things and some frustrating things!! Tomorrow is our 5th grade picnic- end of year party. From 9:00 until 1:30 we'll be outside and hoping it doesn't rain!! This is Colorado so you never know.
After piano lessons I headed to the church in the pouring rain wondering if they would call the game since we were going to see the Skysox play. I asked to be excused since it would be three long hours and my report cards are still not done. After chatting for a few minutes I headed home to open windows and take advantage of the cooler weather. Now, I am half way through with the report cards and am taking a break.
But let's talk about something more wonderful- dinner. I had an artichoke tonight. I tend to do things like that- find something I love and eat (or watch or listen) to it a ton of times all in a row. I've eaten three artichokes in the last few weeks alone. I've decided I really like them and they are quite easy to prepare- a little cut there, a little chop there, an hour and a half wait time while it cooks, then eating!!! And I LOVE the heart. That is one of the benefits of living and eating alone, no sharing- I get to eat it all!!
Anyway- we are almost to the last of everything. The last math test, the last reading final, the last etc, etc. We aren't quite to the last Wednesday, as the last day of school is a Wednesday, but we're close.

P.S. I wish Toberia were made of chocolate- It would help my afternoons pass in a much more enjoyable fashion.
