In case it slipped any one's notice, I am lousy at coming up with titles for these posts! So we're going to go green and recycle the ones from the last time it was my week!
I actually did get yesterday off. They just didn't tell me until Devin showed up to sub, about 10 minutes after I started to play prelude! It was nice. Sacrament meeting was great! I played for the primary children when they sang in the middle and every teacher in the ward, all seven of them, spoke for 5-10 minutes about their mothers. It was really sweet. And then came primary. It was really funny! They had the teacher's husbands sub for them. Lillian's teacher's husband is a rather large man who looks a little scary! I don't think any of the Sunbeams made a peep the entire sharing time! Not that I was there, but Jeff was assigned to teach the class right behind her, so he shared with me.
There were many of us in Gospel Doctrine who wished for a close circuit TV set up so we could amuse ourselves by watching what was happening in the Primary room! But we could hear quite a bit.
It was actually kind of fun to have the Bishop preside in Relief Society and the first Counselor in the Bishopric give the lesson. They even had someone come in to lead the music! They were quite serious about giving everyone a day off.
In other news, Jeff and I saw Star Trek on Saturday night and I promised Keryn I would post a review. We really enjoyed it! Not to give anything away, but I have to admit I laughed allot during the movie, and it wasn't because it was particularly funny! The actors had just done such a spectacular job of capturing the essence of the characters. They had Kirk and Spock, Uhra and Scotty, Sulu and Checkov, and of course Bones. All of them really did a fantastic job! It was great.
