Hair and Airplanes
Well, Tyler and I went and got haircuts today! That's not so unusual for Tyler, seeing as how he goes every month or so. But it's my first haircut in a while and I was really excited about it. All in all, neither of us were very impressed with the lady who cut our hair. She seemed to be in a hurry, ready to get us out the door as soon as possible. She didn't listen at all to Tyler and as a result, his haircut is shorter than it should be and not as well done as he hoped for. He has very hard hair to cut, with many calyxes that cause his hair to stick up in strange places if cut too short. Someday, we're going to find a barber that will cut it right and keep going to there! In the meantime, though, he just has to suffer through bad haircut after bad haircut. As for me, I got my Locks of Love ponytail, so my hair is MUCH shorter now. It comes down to about my chin, which is fun but also shorter than I thought. When she told me how short it was going to be, she pointed to a place just below my shoulders. But when she actually cut it, she cut higher than that. And then she had to make sure that it was even. Since she never actually asked me where I part my hair usually, it's a little uneven now. All it means is I'll have to part my hair a little to the side now, but that's okay. =) It's still kind of cute. I'm loving the shorter hair already and I haven't even had a chance to really play with it yet.
And did everyone hear about the planes in NYC? If not, read about it here. INSANE! What were they thinking???? I was at Keryn's when she read about it and told me and I just couldn't believe it. That is such a huge oversight. I can't even believe that anyone would think that was a good idea. I mean, it hasn't even been ten years since 9/11 yet! Crazy.
As for the flu, I hadn't heard that much about it before today. But then again, I don't keep up with the news at all. I'll keep a closer eye on things now. Thanks for the head's up! Love you all so much!
