I heart Wikipedia

No, seriously, I really love Wikipedia. (For those not in the know, Wikipedia is an online encyclopedia that anyone can add to, edit, etc. You generally have to be careful about obscure things, because they tend to either not be viewed or watch-dogged as much, and controversial things you have to be wary of, but on most stuff it is pretty accurate.)

Want to know more about Laura Ingalls Wilder? (For example, did you know that she shared a common ancestor with Franklin Delano Roosevelt?) What about chameleons? The last name of Smith? Hurricane season? What about color blindness? Lingonberries?

Why, yes, I am the child who loved to read encyclopedias, and wished the library would let you check them out. But now--although there is something to be said for actually picking up that heavy MA-MO volume with the shiny pages and beautiful color photos--I can access all the info I want anytime of the day or night. Pretty darn cool.
