Firsts

During this past week and a half I have had many first. Here are but a few.

The first time I've taught a first day of school with fifth graders.

The first time I've worn slippers all day while teaching those fifth graders. I wasn't kidding about the FEET hurting.

The first time I did not get a roaring laugh while reading Wayside Stories. (STUPID NICKELODEON.)

The first time I've stressed this badly about parents/teacher night. (Coming up on Thursday.)

The first time I've fallen asleep during Enrichment. (How embarrassing.) I did catch my self with a head jerking reaction that probably attracted more attention than the snoring.

The first time I've taught a Laurel lesson. (My new calling- laurel adviser!?!?!)

The first time I've eaten at a Korean restaurant. It was quite good. We were the only ones in the restaurant so the service was excellent.

The first time I've ever played a memorized piece of music before my piano student.

The first time in a long time I haven't shaken the piano with nerves while playing for the choir in sacrament meeting.


There are many more to come, I am sure. For now, I hope you all feel quite caught up with my life.
