Amy, numbers, and spelling

Happy, happy birthday, Amy! I'm so sorry I didn't get a chance to call you today to wish you many happy returns in person. But I hope you had a marvelous day.

One bad thing about being really sick for a short, intense time is that you sleep all day. No, I guess that's a good thing, because Bradley could stay home and watch the kids while I slept. And that's all I did today, except wake up long enough to take more drugs and feed Gideon (boy, those two activities sound odd grouped together!). But anyway, at about five pm I woke up feeling a lot better. And now, even though I have a headache still, I'm WIDE awake. And it's midnight. Oh, well.

LaDale, first of all, you had a dentist appointment at 6:45 AM!!!!!! Wow.

Second, how easy! 700,000 is the number of times it takes for me to spell the word "conscious" right (and even then I had to use spell-check), 26 was the age I was when I learned how to spell "sentence" (it has two "e"s and no "a"), 44 is the number of words with more than two syllables that I can spell correctly all the time, and 1024 is the year that the Catholic Church decided to take bad spelling off the list of unforgivable sins. (You may not know that 1997 was the year that the Catholic Church made John Schidner, the inventor of spell-check, a saint.)
