When the call, "Drop everything and come," came.

It was easy for me, as I am only one person. Quite simple, in fact, for me to drop everything and come to Las Vegas. But I do admire those who really did drop everything to come- especially those with kids (which is just about everyone). For me, it takes about twenty minutes to pack a bag, then pack my car and leave. Sure there were a few phone calls, a little shopping, but in all, quickly done. I have no doubt it felt like twenty hours for those with more than just themselves to worry about. Yet, you did it and you came and I know that both mom and dad are thankful and touched at the sacrifice you have made and, indeed, continue to make. Thanks. (Hope the last week of school going great for Jacob, Heather and Benjamin- enjoy the last days of first and third grade!)
Of course, I am still here in Las Vegas- for how long, I don't know. At this point, I think I am here more for mom than dad (making sure she eats, sleeps at least every other night- etc). I am so very grateful that at this point in my life, I can be here- that I have the ability to go when I need to go and do what I need to do. I am grateful to my Heavenly Father for that.
