Some not so good news...

Most of you know Brittanie pretty well, so I thought I would just post here what has happened recently with her. Most of you know that she was expecting her first baby on May 14. On Monday, she realized that she hadn't felt the baby move for some time and she called her doctor, concerned. He told her to come straight in and they tried to find the baby's heart beat. They couldn't, even after a full ultrasound. They decided to induce Brittanie and yesterday, she delivered her little daughter, stillborn. From what they can determine, the umbilical was wrapped twice around little Cora's neck, pretty tightly, and they think that's what caused her to die. The last time I talked to Brittanie yesterday, she was doing much better than I thought she would be. She and Matt were at least able to hold her. They have decided to cremate her, for various reasons, and I'm not sure what they plan to do with her ashes. She told me they were planning to wait the summer, let her body recover and then in the fall, they'll try again. I just wanted to let you all know, since most of you know Brittanie fairly well. I don't know her address in Rexburg, but I can find it out if anyone wants to send a card or something. If you don't, don't worry about it. Just keep her and Matt in your prayers for a little while.
