Announcements!

Well, okay, only one announcement. I'm sure that we will be teased and ridiculed for this, but...we have changed our baby's name. Yes, that's right. After we announced it here, told everyone, even posted it on our website, that we were going to name our first daughter Alyssa Jenae, we have changed our minds. A little while ago, Tyler asked me why we were naming her Alyssa, and we couldn't think of a good reason...that's just what I've always thought I would name my first daughter. So, after some thought, some searching, and even more thought, we finally decided today to change it. So...our first daughter is...no longer Alyssa Jenae...she is now....(is the suspense killing you yet?)...Kathryn Elizabeth Smith.

We came to this name for a couple reasons. One is that Tyler's mother's name is Terese Elizabeth and we wanted to name her first grandchild after her. Kathryn came about mostly because it was a name we both liked and it fit with Elizabeth. We'll probably end up calling her Katy most of the time. We're happy with our decision but wanted to let everyone know so that it didn't come as a complete shock when she was born and named something other than what we told everyone. We love you all (and Katy says hello to all her aunts, uncles, cousins, and Grandma and Grandpa!).
