RE: Physics

Maybe it's the pregnancy, or maybe it's just you crazy brother.
Samuel, are you pregnant? Congrats!

As for Pep Con (Pepcon? Pep-con?), I was in Mr. Andrews fifth grade class at Red Rock Elementary. Our classroom was at the very end of the last wing of classrooms (all outside doors), and we looked east. There was a huge BOOM that shook the glass in the window, and Mr. Andrews looked outside and called us all to look. He said, "That looks like it's coming from McCarren Airport. And it sort of looks like a mushroom cloud." Thanks, Mr. Andrews! I had just read a story in the Reader's Digest about terrorists (Iran-Iraq, Libya, etc) earlier that month. No wonder I went home with an anxiety attack later.

As for 9/11, I was asleep in our new apartment--it was just over a month before we got married. Emily called and woke me to tell me to turn on the TV. After I figured out what was going on, I called Kim's house, because that is where Brad was staying. They hadn't heard, and I didn't articulate well enough to get the point across right away. Anyway, I spent the rest of the day watching CNN in the basement of the Eyring Science Center Geology media room, except the special prayer devotional we had at eleven instead of the regularly scheduled devotional.

I am glad to see you back, Jenafer!
