Mom's back
Okay, so I thought about trying to take a picture of my back but I couldn't get my arm around that far. I am sooo thankful that you are all doing as well as you are. We are fine at the moment but Dad is feeling some pain in his hip and we will be finding out what to do about that next week.
About the lipstick.. I have been thinking and thinking and so far nothing. Maybe Pucker-up pink or something like that.
Here is the next puzzle (I found the paper):
Three people check into a hotel. They pay $30 to the manager and go to their room. The manager suddenly remenbers that the room rate is $25 and gives $5 to the bellboy to return to the people. On the way to the room the bellboy reasons that $5 would be difficult to share among three people so he pockets $2 and gives $1 to each person. Now each person paid $9, totaling $27. The bellboy has $2, totaling $29. Where is the missing $1.
I know the answer to this one and I'm guessing that you do too but here it is.

I can reason out the answer in my mind, but I can't write it out so that it makes sense...

Here is it. Each person paid $9 because they each got $1 back from the original $30. That is where the $27 comes from. Out of the $27, $25 is used to pay for the room and the other $2 went to the bell boy. Therefor, there is no missing dollar. You have to subtract 2 from 27, not add it.

Good thing someone understands because this is definitely not my strong suit. I didn't even know where to start. Thank goodness for wonderful people like Caren and Samuel to help those like me understand how backwards I was looking at this puzzle.
