Doctors and Babies

So, I went to my second doctor's appointment today...what a difference it was to my last visit. At my first appointment, I was on time and yet waited in the lounge for nearly an hour before they called me back. The office was so backed up because two of the three doctors had been called away for an emergency C-section. That only left my doctor, Dr. Gordon, there to take care of business...for everyone. This time, I came prepared...I picked up a good book before leaving the house, arrived about ten minutes early, and sat down to wait for my turn. I was only one page into Cimmorene's story when they called my name. I was shocked. I don't even think it was ten o'clock yet. So, I stood up, went into the back and did the whole blood pressure, weight, etc. stuff that they do before every visit. Then I went back into the waiting room, content to wait for a half hour before being called in to see the doctor. Imagine my surprise when instead I was called not three minutes later!

Now, I have to say, I had no idea what to expect from this visit. My first one was "Let's check everything out" and they did. This time, Dr. Gordon checked the heartbeat of the baby, answered some questions, and that was it. He wrote me a prescription for anti-nausea pills (which I'm so excited about...) and that was the end of it. I twas so short. I couldn't believe how fast it was compared to my last visit. He had me go back to make my next appointment for an ultrasound. Are you all ready? Feb 28 at 10:00 we'll be going in to find out the sex of our baby! I'm so excited. Anyway, I just wanted to share the exciting news. =) I love you all!
