RE: Closing

There are a few benefits of buying a pre-existing home (such as not having to worry about construction dates and delays), but (as David and Amy can attest) you still might have troubles at closing. I am still in awe at how quickly and painlessly our closing occured. We had heard about how long it can take, so we made sure that made an offer by the end of October to be sure to get in our house before the Keeles' came home at Christmas. Imagine our surprise when we signed and closed in the first week of November. It's sort of funny that we had all this time and a place to stay and everything and it all came together so quickly. Oh, well.

I'm so glad, Jenafer, that it all went relatively well. When will you be moving in? I wish I could be there to help, even if just watching the kids.

Isn't that interesting? I wished the same thing last week when I was on the phone with Kristy, who was running around with her two (and she's seven months pregnant) and two extra (helping a friend who had a family emergency). Most of my family and good friends live far away, so I can't help that way. But it follows that there are people here who have family elsewhere and need help. So why don't I help those people and their family can help people in Tucson and Queen Creek? Like a swap!

I just don't know where to find them.
