Jacob

I just got back from Jacob's preschool evaluation. Apparently, Jacob has something called Appraxia(ah-prax-ia). It is a nurological disorder where the mind and speach mussles don't work together and he will probably stuggle with it all of his life. According to the speach teacher, Jacob cannot translate sylables into words, instead he has to learn a word as a whole. For instance he can say Erica, and Mama, and hungry, but can not say drink, etc. They are giving him a binder with words and pictures in it so he can create sentances on the front for communication.
