Amusing myself by misreading

So I was reading LaDale's post about her new sofa and I read the sentence:

I looked around and took their catalog and scrammed.

Except I read it as "I looked around and took their catalog and screamed." Then for a couple of minutes I amused myself picturing LaDale in a quiet, rich, genteel furniture store looking through a catalog, seeing the prices, and dropping the catalog on the floor with a shrill scream of dismay. It was a great picture. Imagine my disappointment when I re-read the sentence to discover that the word was scrammed.
